What kind of heritage can I propose?
Cultural heritage does not end at monuments and collections of objects. It also includes traditions or living expressions inherited from our ancestors and passed on to our descendants, such as oral traditions, performing arts, social practices, rituals, festive events, knowledge and practices concerning nature and the universe or the knowledge and skills to produce traditional crafts. The proposition has to bear a collective meaning for the city and its inhabitants and not be limited to a private appraisal.
What will be the results? What can we expect as an outcome?
A cartography at local and European level, filled with all the citizens’ contributions, will be made public by the end of 2020.
This map will be an inventory of all the heritage assets shaping the cultural identity of the six cities member of this project.
The work will be an on-going process. Citizens will be able to continue to enrich it after the end of the project.
